Parent support is vital to a great choir program! The Grand Oaks High School Choir Booster Club not only supports the choir director, but more importantly shows your child the value placed on your involvement in the program. That is why we ask for YOUR HELP!! It is your time, effort, talent and financial support that helps keep the Grand Oaks High School choir program an exceptional opportunity for our children.
Grand Oaks High School Choir Booster Club is an independent organization run by a board of parent volunteers designed to support, encourage and advance extracurricular endeavors. We are designated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so all donations are tax-deductible.
WHAT WE DO
Financial support through memberships, fundraising, and business sponsorship.
Event support through volunteerism.
Examples of financial and event support are:
upgraded transportation and accompanists for the multiple competitions held throughout the year
visiting clinicians
social activities
repairing uniforms
piano tuning
additional sheet music
awards and scholarships (membership required)
annual spring trip non-covered expenses
major purchases

GOHS Choir Booster Club’s Executive Board is committed to supporting the directors, students, and choir program at Grand Oaks High School. Our goal is to encourage an integrated relationship among the parents, director, and students; thus ensuring the students receive a quality music education. All parents are encouraged to join the booster club and lend their support to this valuable organization.

BOARD MEETINGS
The GOHS Choir Booster Club Executive Board meetings are held monthly throughout the year and will be posted to our website calendar and social media.
Please note: booster club membership is required to vote; however, all are welcome to attend.
MEMBERSHIP
The GOHS Choir Booster Club encourages all parents to join the booster club to support their students and enjoy the benefits of membership. Your personal involvement and financial partnership are keys to providing the greatest opportunity for your talented child(ren) and are essential to assuring a viable choral program.
FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES
Fundraising is a large function of our choir booster family. The choir program depends on the generosity of family members, friends, and business sponsors. Typical fundraising opportunities include:

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The choir has many volunteer opportunities and we encourage parents to become involved. Our students work hard to make our program entertaining and maintain its excellence tradition. Here are some ways you can become involved in the GOHS Choir program.
General Volunteer – Parents can help throughout the year by volunteering to sell tickets, distribute programs, door monitors, hallway monitors, etc.
Chaperones – All-State audition process, Solo & Ensemble, UIL Competition, Spring Trip, etc.
Uniforms – Assist with the distribution, fitting, and inventory of uniforms.
Concessions – Parents can help by selling pizzas, flowers, and other items for different events.
Hospitality – Parents can help by supplying baked goods or other food items for different events throughout the year.
Banquet Committee – Parents can help with setup, decoration, and other activities.
